About This Service

What Is Elderly Care at Home?

There is a reason that the vast majority of older people say they want to remain in their own home for as long as possible. Home is not just a building — it is a lifetime of memories, familiar routines, personal space, and the independence that comes from being surrounded by everything that is yours. Our elderly care service exists to protect and support all of that.

Our carers treat every older adult with the dignity and respect they deserve. They are trained, patient, and genuinely interested in the people they support. They remember preferences, learn routines, and take the time to truly know the person — not just the care plan.

How We Care

Our Approach: How We Deliver Elderly Care

These principles guide every visit we make — without exception.

Dignity in Absolutely Everything

Every aspect of care — from personal hygiene to casual conversation — is carried out with full respect for the older person's privacy, preferences, and sense of self. Our carers are trained to support, not to take over. To help, not to hurry. To be present, not to impose.

Consistent, Familiar Carers

We aim to send the same carers on every visit — so the older person always sees a trusted, familiar face. Over time, this consistency builds a genuine relationship that goes beyond care. Our carers become an important and valued part of the older person's week.

Independence Always Encouraged

Our goal is not to do things for an older person — it is to support them in doing things for themselves wherever possible. We encourage capability, celebrate it, and step in only where genuinely needed. Independence is something to be protected.

CQC-Regulated and Accountable

Solace Prime Care is registered with and inspected by the Care Quality Commission. Our elderly care service is professionally managed, quality-monitored, and fully accountable — giving you and your family complete confidence in the care being provided.

Who Benefits from Elderly Care at Home?

Elderly care is for adults over 65 who wish to remain in their own home; older people with reduced mobility or limited energy for daily tasks; those managing long-term conditions such as arthritis, COPD, heart disease, or diabetes; people living alone whose families live some distance away; older adults returning home after a hospital stay or illness; people in the early stages of dementia who still live independently; and couples where one partner needs more care than the other can provide.

“You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from home care. If daily tasks have become difficult, tiring, or unsafe — that is exactly what we are here for.”

Why Choose Us?

Why Sheffield Families Choose Solace Prime Care for Elderly Care

We are a small, locally based Sheffield team — and when you contact us, you speak to real people who are accountable for the quality of every visit. We do not sub-contract care. Our carers are chosen for their warmth and their genuine interest in older people — not just their qualifications. They remember things: favourite programmes, grandchildren's names, which biscuits are preferred, and which topics bring a smile to someone's face. We are also proud to offer culturally sensitive care with carers who speak Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Arabic, and more.
